Voyage across the sea and meet us in the Mediterranean city of Lisbon alongside Mafalda Patrício; the Portugal-based multi-hyphenated creative, stylist and model who first began her career studying Design and Arts – now, turning her extensive love into interior design.
After a whirlwind of a year, we joined Mafalda on a journey through the cobblestoned streets of Lisbon and were given a peek into her best kept haunts in her hometown, all whilst wearing her favourite looks from our latest collection, ‘Azulejo’.

I am Mafalda Patrício. I work as a digital Content Creator, fashion Stylist and model. I started my path by studying Design and Arts at IADE, Creative University. After that, I worked as a fashion consultant, fashion stylist, model and designer.
I am also very passionate about home interior decor. I am married to Diogo Appleton, who is a shaper and surfer and we have been married for almost a year now.

Lisbon is a city full of light and history. Here we have so many architectural influences, that every corner inspires you differently. In every setting, there are parts worth exploring and that bring out different sides of you.
Living here is fulfilling. We truly have it all. The weather is mostly sunny and warm, people are nice and accommodating, the city is culturally rich, close to the beach. There is nothing more I could ask for.

First of all, you have to visit Pastéis de Belém. It is a typical bakery with custard pies that are one of Lisbon’s wonders.
You also have to visit Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, which is very close to Pastéis de Belém and was built in the 15th century.
After that, I would advise strolling around Baixa-Chiado and getting to know the famous city centre, while drinking something by the river.
Lastly, either on Tuesday or Sunday, Feira da Ladra is a Portuguese vintage market that you cannot miss. You find the best bargains, from clothing items to home decor.

Currently, I have been obsessing over Mexico. I’ve been finding beautiful hidden spots all over the country, with the most amazing and relaxing landscapes. It’s not the next place I’m visiting, but it is surely the number one on my bucket list.

I would tell people to slowly introduce statement pieces to their wardrobe. First, get around two clothing items with bold patterns and learn how to style them differently. Also, search for inspiration online. Pinterest is an awesome tool for you to visually understand what goes and doesn’t go together.
After you get comfortable stepping outside your safe zone, you will start risking more and it will end up feeling natural to use brighter colours and patterns that stand out.

I studied Design and Arts to be more precise, so everything is way more intertwined than if I had studied architecture. Due to my degree, I was able to combine both passions for fashion and home decor. With Instagram, as I took pictures of my outfits and posted them, my communication and digital identity started to lean more towards fashion, while home design was left in the background. I still love it and share it often. My love for decor is still here and I sometimes share bits of my home. It’s just not the core of my social media footprint.

I think we were pretty aligned when it comes to knowing what we wanted for our wedding. We had similar visions. We wanted to have a party outside, with our closest friends, with simple but well put together decor, our favourite music playing and tasty food. I was a bit picky about the flowers, I must say, since I’ve always pictured what they would be like on my wedding day. Oh, and about the dress, of course. My outfit was supposed to be completely different. As the date came closer, I started to have doubts about my dress and I ended up making a whole new one, with almost no time left. It came out as I wished and I was surprisingly in love with it.
I would say the brand’s sense of style. The outfits are bold and clean. I love styling the brands’ pieces and imagining scenic places, where I believe they will look good. They inspire many outfits of mine. Currently, I also have developed a love for the brand as a company, as they respect my creativity and let me portray my aesthetic views whenever I work with them. They trust me and that is very nice to feel.

For now, I can tell you that I’m gonna go on my honeymoon really soon. That’s what is getting me most excited about 2023. Further along I’ll have some other projects, but for now this is all I can say.
